　　讲述开锁师何初逢、鉴定师洛宾和实习律师隋意，共同租用“野兽”中古店生活和工作。三人常被卷进笼罩着迷雾的各色事件中。在解决事件的过程中，几人依靠彼此专业的力量找出真相，也遇到更大试炼，但最终几位年轻人还是在相互扶持之下治愈了彼此。初逢渐渐被阳光的隋意所打动，而洛宾也对后来加入的神秘客人小安一见钟情。

　　故事讲述了运河边长大的年轻人从花街到北京，在度过了他们青涩纯真的青春时光，也经历了积极而艰难的北上创业时期，当荣耀或失败都已成为过往之际，他们再次重归运河边的花街，寻找真实自我和人生意义的故事。
　　该剧改编自作家徐则臣的同名小说，原著曾荣获2019年第十届茅盾文学奖。
