　　Set-in present-day Europe, War of the Worlds is a multi-faceted series, based on the story by H.G. Wells.   When astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy, it is definitive proof of intelligent extra-terrestrial life. The world’s population waits for further contact with baited breath. They do not have to wait long. Within days, mankind is all but wiped out; just pockets of humanity are left in an eerily deserted world.
　　As alien ships appear in the sky, the survivors ask a burning question – who are these attackers and why are they hell-bent on our destruction? This is a story of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances - but they are more than just victims in a brutal war. For, as we will come to realize, the aliens’ savage attack on earth is not arbitrary: its seeds are being sown before our very eyes.

　　刘展鹏（涂松岩 饰）结束了一段非常失败的婚姻，带着女儿茉莉，他离开了曾经洋溢着欢声笑语的家。在和前妻天蓝离婚之后，刘展鹏遇上了温柔善良的敏秋（潘雨辰 饰），敏秋的丈夫去世了，这让她更加懂得珍惜感情的可贵。

　　20世纪90年代初，经过连年政治运动的中华大地正在酝酿新的蜕变，改革开放方兴未艾，普通老百姓的生活即将发生翻天覆地的变化。在北方一个稍显落后的小城市内，由长兄志平（张嘉译 饰）支撑的陈家也在这股洪流中萌动，大妹志芳（李歌 饰）在丈夫赵永明（刘燕军 饰）的撺掇下悄悄踏上南去的列车，去广州追寻他们的发财梦；勤劳优秀的妻子周芸（刘蓓 饰）意外沦为下岗人员，不甘落后的她毅然决定去广东为粮食局开拓窗口，并在连番显示冲击下得到贵人旷大成（范明 饰）的帮助，而她和丈夫的关系也日趋紧张起来。固守老家的志平事业渐有起色，而接二连三前往广东淘金的家人成了他心头最深的牵挂。
　　物欲横流的时代，人们该如何面对曾经弥足珍贵的亲情、友情与爱情……

　　Former police detective Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub), whose photographic memory and amazing ability to piece together tiny clues made him a local legend, has suffered from intensified obsessive-compulsive disorder and a variety of phobias since the unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, in 1997. Now on psychiatric leave from the San Francisco Police Department and working as a freelance detective/ consultant on difficult cases, Monk hopes to convince his former boss, Captain Leland Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine), to allow him to return to the force. Stottlemeyer, who wavered between admiration for Monk and annoyance at his eccentricities during the first season, is becoming more of a friend to Monk as the series develops, frequently calling him in to help, as much for Monk's benefit as for his own. However, he knows Monk's limitations as well as his strengths and may still harbor doubts about the wisdom of allowing Monk to carry a gun or subdue a perpetrator. Stottlemeyer's second-in-command, Lieutenant Randall Disher (Jason Gray-Stanford), also seems to be developing both admiration and compassion for the man he once labeled "the defective detective."
　　Despite flaws and inadequacies all around, the three are becoming an increasingly effective team, with additional help from Monk's personal assistant. From the double-episode pilot through the first half of season three, Monk was aided by his nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram). But in the tenth episode of the third season, Sharona was replaced by a new assistant, Natalie Teeger (Traylor Howard). Like Sharona, a divorcee with a son named Benjy, Natalie is a single parent, a widow with a daughter named Julie (Emmy Clarke). Unlike Sharona, Natalie is not a nurse but a former bartender with a fresh perspective on "Mr. Monk," as she still addresses her new boss.

　　最终，俩人的婚姻走到了尽头。苏小唐和父母回到家乡，那里有一个愿意重新跟她组织家庭的同学柴万金。陈远的身边，也有一个一直痴恋他的姑娘肖白杨。然而陈远和苏小唐却发现，他们一直都深爱着对方，只因追求太多的东西，忽视了心里的真爱。陈远和苏小唐复婚了，他们也真正成长了，不再追求物质的幸福，建造的是心里的幸福感。

　　上世纪三十年代，能力出众，机智果敢，却没有坚定信仰的伪满警察许从良，在哈尔滨警察厅险恶的内部斗争中，凭借出色的破案才能，赢得了警察厅厅长金荣桂的信任；另一方面，许从良出于对警察厅刑事科科长关海丹的爱慕和对共产党人的钦佩，一次次帮助关海丹转危为安，并在多次行动中与关海丹并肩战斗，成长为了一名真正的共产党员。在血雨腥风的伪满警察厅，许从良一直在剃刀的边缘，与关海丹从敌对到合作，再到心心相印，最终赢得了关海丹的爱情，也收获了坚定的信仰。

　　BBC预订一部3集，以1949-50年代，伦敦诺丁山的连环杀人事件迷你剧《瑞灵顿街惊魂 Rillington Place》。Ed Whitmore及Tracey Malone负责编剧，3月底开拍。
　　《瑞灵顿街惊魂 Rillington Place》是根据真人真事改篇，讲 述瑞灵顿街10号中（有部1971年电影曾描述此案），凶手John Christie﹑他的妻子Ethel及邻居Timothy Evans皆出现在剧中，探讨他们之间的关系﹑司法不公引致的悲剧及因此令英国废除死刑。
　　John Christie至少在他的住所绞杀了8个女人，包括他的妻子Ethel，其中3人被发现藏在厨房里，他因为杀妻而被定罪及被判绞刑。但可惜的是在此前他的邻居Timothy Evans被错误起诉，指他杀了自己妻子Beryl及女儿Geraldine，Timothy Evans在1950年被判绞刑。John Christie后来承认杀了Beryl，而Timothy Evans在1966年被赦免罪名。

　　The novel follows a woman, Modesta, who is born on 1 January 1900 and her experiences though her life in the twentieth century. The text is written for the most part in the first person (by Modesta), but sometimes also in the third person, especially in the first part of the novel.
