　　改编自夏尔曼·威尔克森（Charmaine Wilkerson）的同名小说《黑蛋糕》（Black Cake），讲述了一对兄妹试图揭开母亲过去的故事。这是一场发现之旅，他们从加勒比海到伦敦再到加州，最终以母亲最拿手的黑蛋糕结束。

　　Lou和Henry是太平洋西北地区一个小警队中的姐弟侦探组合，他们必须面对各式各样的居民、严重缺乏的资源，以及二人彼此之间、二人与警局局长Big Hank之间非常复杂的关系，而Hank恰好是他们的父亲。

 映山红（张瑜 饰）和一群来自不同背景的人，包括企业高管、私人老板和艺术家，决定通过偷渡的方式实现他们的出国梦想。计划是从中国南部边界偷渡至泰国，然后继续前往美国。他们由一位在缅甸当过营长的中国退伍兵带领，最初以为可以安全地实现他们的梦想。 然而，在热带森林、毒蛇、瘟疫、食人族等危险中，一些同行逐渐死去，而最后剩下的人却落入了泰国人贩的手中。为了拯救大家，主角映山红不得不嫁给了泰国当地的头领，成为了九姨太。她的身体上被纹上象征姨太太尊贵地位的蜥蜴纹身。这个转变标志着她不得不面对艰难的抉择，为了保护其他女性，她不得不付出极大的牺牲。最后，映山红为了其他女人的安全，被枪杀。

Season two found Byrne having successfully launched her first fitness video only to encounter some new and bigger obstacles on her path. She is torn between loyalty to her husband (Rory Scovel) and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else. And since she’s no longer the only game in town, she finds herself having to outrun some fierce new competitors on the road to building a full-fledged fitness empire.
