　　剧情起源于太古洪荒时代的神魔传说，给神魔布袋戏添加一丝神秘的浪漫色彩。传说曰：由天帝公孙轩辕与血魔蚩尤之战开始，后世如果有人能得到天帝轩辕的白龙神剑或地皇蚩尤的噬血魔剑，将成为神魔宿命中的传人而来延续天地间的正邪之战。
　　而后，剧情一转，千年之后的一次偶然成为血劫的开端。由于神魔两界先天人物逍遥学者学千秋和妖魑魔师傀修罗在荒山燕邬石山矶的对决而放出沉睡中的神魔精元。须弥山的长眉尊者为了将伤害减至最低而以天书为赌注让两人定下十年后荒山的神魔对决。
　　傀修罗创建修罗圣教，整合魔道三宫：血道魔宫、幽楼月宫、夜蝠邪宫，欲消灭正道各派，一统武林。学千秋随后组建昆仑正教,和好友酒徒狂醉、刀学生以及正道力量三圣二僧一道主联合，欲整合正道力量以抗魔道，千秋教主的称呼由此而来。

　　故事发生在马里兰州切萨皮克湾（Chesapeake Shores）沿岸地区的一座小镇，O’Brien三兄弟亲手设计并创立了这座小镇，这个爱尔兰裔美国家庭也因此成为当地最重要的势力。然而因为内部矛盾加剧，这个家庭最终四分五裂。多年之后，一家人再次团聚，但他们不得不回忆过去的痛苦经历，同时面对难以确定的未来。他们很快发现，学会融洽相处是一件非常重要的事情。

　　In the fourth season, a woman is found brutally murdered on a small artificial Danish island close to the Øresund Bridge. The woman is Margrethe Thormod, Thormod, Director General of the Migration Agency in Copenhagen, who was recently embroiled in a deportation scandal. Danish detective Henrik begins to investigate the murder without the involvement of Saga, due to the fact that she has now been imprisoned for the murder of her mother. Henrik is missing his colleague and wants to visit her as often as possible so she can help with the case. However, her predicament renders her unable to help. Henrik’s search for his missing daughters is also frustrated by Saga’s imprisonment and he gets close to giving up.

　　Jackie faces problems at the Lunch Box and must take advice from an unexpected guest; Dan and Darlene take a trip into Chicago.

　　Filming has begun on the third series of popular detective drama McDonald & Dodds starring Tala Gouveia and Jason Watkins in the lead roles.
　　
　　The latest series sees Claire Skinner (Outnumbered) join the cast as Chief Superintendent Ormond.
　　
　　Reuniting DCI McDonald, played by Tala Gouveia, and DS Dodds, played by BAFTA award winner actor Jason Watkins, season three of the Bath set detective series consists of four standalone films.

　　Speaking about her role in the new series, Claire Skinner, said: "I'm a huge fan of McDonald & Dodds so I'm delighted to be joining the cast as Chief Superintendent Ormond. Ormond is a quietly intimidating character so she'll be keeping McDonald & Dodds on their toes throughout this new series."

　　The series was commissioned for ITV by Polly Hill and Huw Kennair Jones and will be produced by Rebecca Davies. Executive producers are Damien Timmer and creator and lead writer Robert Murphy. Robert Murphy has written films one and four, Robert Drummond has written film two and Kam Odedra has written film three. Directors are Robert Quinn, Isher Sahota, Ian Aryeh and Sasha Ransome.
　　McDonald & Dodds is produced by leading independent production company Mammoth Screen, co-produced by BritBox North America, and created by Robert Murphy. Series two achieved consolidated ratings of 6.7m.
