　　以酒商品闻名的公司百顺堂要推出新的传统酒，预计要举办一场派对让新产品正式亮相，行销组代理研儿和助手智由便提出要与知名餐厅合作的企划，但他们必须在有限的时间内找到与他们合作的公司。智由找到了一间名叫具秀的餐厅，却被主厨奇勳以“我们餐厅不卖酒”而拒绝了，但智由不死心，一定要让不卖酒的餐厅和百顺堂的新产品合作…

　　岸边满（生田斗真 饰），36 岁，大学毕业后迷上了咖啡，并因此创业，但最终失败，成了一名无业的啃老族。尽管他内心也想有所改变，但一直靠着自己的“强项”——绝不在口角中认输的特殊能力，运用歪理诡辩来掩饰自己的颓废人生。姐姐绫子（小池荣子 饰）认为弟弟的歪理不过是“单纯的逃避现实”，并质问母亲房枝 （原田美枝子 饰），认为弟弟变成这样，母亲也负有责任。母亲被戳中痛处，内心动摇。
　　五年前，岸边经历了一番波折后，成为了一名县议会议员的秘书，但很快又被解雇。于是，他再次回归寄生于经营咖啡店的母亲之下，继续着啃老族的生活。然而，此时家中传来了关于出售咖啡店和老家的消息。在一家人再度聚首，展开一场唇枪舌剑的诡辩大战之后，满能否摆脱废柴人生，迈向独立之路？

　　一对孪生兄弟王名成(刘青云)与王利就(周星驰)自小失散。名成与母相依为命，利就则为老粗鲁辉(梁家仁)收养，改名为鲁细。成是电影圈的新进导演，为人精明有绰头，敢作敢为；细则为通天经纪，性格爽朗具正义感。机缘巧合下两人相遇并共住一屋，但却不知大家的真正身份。细钟情于童年好友方嘉楠(陈秀雯)，嘉楠是名成的下属，对名成心仪已久，兄弟两人更闹出一段纠缠不清的三角恋爱。鲁辉认识了嘉楠的阿姨卓龄，她为人高贵具教养，与辉分属两个世界，但龄欣赏他为人老实忠诚，最后与他展开了一段浪漫恋情。兄弟两人最后终于相认，但因性格各异而心存隔膜。后名成与友人合伙营商，却被骗而惹上官非，患难中细明白到兄弟情之珍贵，与众人共施计策，营救胞兄。

　　《活佛济公》是再次对经典题材“济公”的翻拍，陈浩民饰演史上最帅的济公，和杨雪出演对手戏。杨雪曾多次参与香港电视剧的拍摄，此次再度和香港演员合作自然是轻车熟路。近年来杨雪一直在主题严肃的电视剧中塑造坚强勇敢的女人形象，此番再次触电轻喜剧电视的拍摄，是她继《聊斋》之后的又一力作。从时尚偶像到美丽女军人再到经典喜剧，杨雪的戏路是越来越广。
　　据制片人王世伟介绍，《活佛济公》计划拍摄120集，这次拍济公是从济公年轻时拍起，“他是一个人间佛，普渡众生，但也有自己的烦恼，比如他在新婚之夜悟道出家，对妻子一直有愧疚。第一部40集里讲述了《血珍珠》、《挖心》、《怀孕郎》、《天雷报》、《古井运木》、《胭脂泪》等8个故事，目前已经敲定明年8月暑期档播出。”

　　该剧翻拍自同名畅销书，由大检察厅检察官金雄亲自撰写，讲述自己从2000年毕业于司法研修院以来，历经18年检察官工作所经历的种种，金雄本人自称是“生活型检察官”，也通过检察官这一工作了解到了 人世间的种种。早前由首尔中央地方法院法官#文宥锡#撰写的《#汉谟拉比小姐#》就曾被成功搬上电视荧屏，在JTBC播出时获得了不错的口碑，此次由检察官书写的故事又将以怎样的形式被翻拍也引发关注。

　　Loot is created, written and executive produced by Yang and Hubbard. Rudolph executive produces, along with Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens, through their Animal Pictures. Dave Becky of 3 Arts also serves as executive producer. Loot is produced for Apple by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

　　With a deft narrative that engages from the outset, Kris Mrksa creates suspenseful twists and with every hairpin turn perfectly navigates the story to ensure the audience won’t know who to believe and who is telling the truth.
