　　《谎言堂 House of Lies》演员Kristen Bell和《网络犯罪调查 CSI: Cyber》演员Ted Danson将参演Mike Schur创作的NBC直接预订成剧的13集喜剧《Good Place》。
　　Bell在本剧中的出演并不意味着她将离开Showtime的喜剧，相反正是因为她在《谎言堂 House of Lies》中的精彩演出才让她有机会出演本剧，因此她并不会顾此失彼。
　　而Danson早在去年夏天就表示，如果有时间的话他非常有兴趣尝试出演一部半小时的喜剧，刚好这时候《Good Place》找到了他，他也从众多剧本中挑出了这一部出演。
　　本剧讲述了Eleanor（Bell饰），一个来自新泽西州的女人，突然一天意识到她自己不是个好人；因此她决定开启她生活的新篇章以学习如何才是真正的 “好”和“坏”，从而弥补她自认为过去不好的行为。Danson将饰演Michael，在各种机缘巧合下，成为了Eleanor为自己设计的自我完善的道路上的导师。

　　艾莉森（帕特丽夏·阿奎特 Patricia Arquette 配音）自幼便拥有高于常人的灵视能力，总能够看见徘徊在人间的幽魂鬼影，聪明的艾莉森将这种能力融合进了工作中，成为了一名灵媒。艾莉森额丈夫乔伊（杰克·韦伯 Jake Weber 饰）是一名科学工程师，虽然科学和灵异相斥，但他依然相信着妻子的每一个决定，并且成为了她最坚强的后盾。

　　环一直被追杀，一次受伤后，为刹天巴教教主之女月半弯（罗慧娟）所救。弯爱上环，惜环对他无意，机缘巧合，环得《金蛇秘籍》，练成一身好本领，于是决意报仇，大杀八大门派中人。
　　环掳走嫣，逼义与他决斗。嫣得知环身世后，对他同情，二人多番出生入死后，共堕爱河。命因此更痛恨环，弯亦怨环无情，二人遂连手对付环，连场腥风血雨由此而掀起。

　　孤儿松荫(张智霖 饰)自幼立志当警察，长大后的他顺利当上了警察，并以优异的成绩即将被调职至警局重要部门O记。就在他入职O记前，上司黄Sir看中了他表现优秀，而且是O记得新面孔，于是将他选为卧底，准备渗透进当地的黑社会集团宋波家族。松荫进行卧底训练期间，一次意外受伤令他昏 迷，昏迷中他恢复了前世的记忆，原来九百年前他曾是梁山好汉之一的行者武松！醒来后松荫的竟发现自己无端精通了人体穴位，这进一步肯定了他的前世就是武松。
