　　本次大赛由中央电视台主办，中国曲协协办，北京市公证处公证，是新世纪第二次全国性的相声赛事。大赛经过了征集、初评、复赛等阶段。经过复赛评委会的认真评审，最后，一批质量较高的节目和颇有实力的选手闯入决赛，并继续激烈角逐，最终将决出一等奖1名、二等奖3名、三等奖5名、最佳逗哏奖1名、最佳捧哏奖1名、最佳作品奖1个，优秀作品奖若干。
